Erik Truffaz is no stranger to me, and I always appreciate his music. Very airy, full of restraint and emotion. His duo here creates a kind of counterbalance with pianist Krzysztof Kobyliński, who plays in a more heavy manner as if notes needed to be anchored to the ground.

The blend of lightness on one side and the weight of the notes on the other yields a balanced and surprising result. Both, together, wake you up and send you dreaming at the same time.
